Description
A corner of paradise in the heart of Salento, Camping La Vecchia Torre overlooks the enchanting shores of the Ionian Sea and is nestled in a lush pine forest, offering its guests an authentic and relaxing stay experience.
Location
Located just 3.5 km from the center of Gallipoli, the campsite is well connected to the main destinations in the area, including the Gallipoli railway station at 4.2 km, the Baroque city of Lecce at 40 km, and Brindisi Airport about 85 km away. Thanks to its strategic position, guests can easily explore the beauties of Salento, including golden beaches, historic villages, and a rich cultural heritage.
Beach and Sea
The beach, with its gently sloping seabed, is directly accessible from the pine forest and offers both a free area and an equipped zone with umbrellas and sunbeds, bookable at the internal bazaar. The equipped beach service is available at a cost of 12 euros per day for one umbrella and two sunbeds.
Entertainment and Sports Activities
The entertainment program, active from July to the first week of September, offers a rich schedule of activities for all ages. The days start with morning fitness on the beach, followed by group dances, sports tournaments, and evening shows featuring cabaret and dance nights. A mini-club is available for the little ones, with playful and educational activities. Evenings are enhanced by the open-air cinema experience, with outdoor screenings in the campground’s arena.
For those who love fun and sports, the facility includes a game room and several equipped areas, including soccer fields, tennis courts, mini-golf, and beach volleyball courts.
Restaurants and Bars
Guests can indulge in the flavors of Salento cuisine at the on-site restaurant, which serves typical local dishes and Italian specialties. For a more informal meal, there is a pizzeria with takeaway options, while the bar offers breakfasts, snacks, and aperitifs in a relaxing atmosphere.
Shops and Services
To ensure maximum comfort, the campsite features a mini-market with fresh produce, a bazaar with a newsstand, and a self-service laundry equipped with coin-operated washing machines and dryers. WiFi connection is free in common areas. Guests can also use the excursion desk to organize trips around the area and rent bicycles, scooters, cars, and boats to explore the region independently.
For transportation needs, a paid external shuttle operates at fixed times to Gallipoli, and upon request, a shuttle service is available to airports, train stations, and main destinations in the area. A bus stop is located near the campground, offering additional mobility options.

Useful Information
- To ensure peace and safety, the circulation of cars and mopeds within the campground is prohibited from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
- Guests requiring a second parking space must pay a daily fee of 6 euros, which increases to 7 euros in July and August.
- Late check-in is possible upon prior notice before 6:00 PM on the day of arrival.
- Guest changes are not allowed during the stay, meaning that registered guests at check-in cannot be replaced by others.
- The swimming pool is not present.

Tourist tax: depending on the municipality of the campsite (we recommend contacting the campsite directly for the rate).

If you don’t want to bring everything from home, you can book the following services up to 7 days before arrival, with payment at the campsite:
Double bed linen set: €20.00 per set.
Single bed linen set: €15.00 per set.
Towel set: €10.00 per set (includes one shower towel and one face towel).
Baby cot (without mattress): €3.00 per day.
High chair: €3.00 per day.

For families and groups of friends wishing to book more than two mobile homes, we kindly ask you to contact us by email so we can check availability and confirm acceptance by the campsite.
We kindly invite young guests aged 18 to 25 to send us a request via email, allowing us to verify the possibility of admission by the campsite.
Minors are not allowed to stay alone and are only admitted if staying in the same mobile home with a parent or responsible adult, subject to prior request sent via email.
We are sorry, but your pets cannot join you on holiday.

Cancellation Policy
If you decide to cancel your booking with Happy Camp, penalties will be applied as indicated:
Reservations have to be cancelled by sending an email to our office at: info@happycamp.com
- Up to 30 days before arrival: No penalty, full refund of the amount paid.
- From the 29th to the 9th day before arrival: 50% penalty on the total amount.
- From the 8th to the 4th day prior to arrival: 75% penalty on the total amount.
- From the 3rd day prior to arrival: No refund (100% penalty).
