Dalmatia is situated in the heart of the Adriatic Coast, and gathers plenty of wonderful islands and beaches that are washed by a crystal-clear sea. Not to be missed are the beach of Podstrana, near Split, the beautiful beaches of Trogir, the one-kilometre-long sandy beach of Gradska and the famous and crowded beaches of Makarska.
 
The Islands of Hvar and Solta are worthy of mention too. The former gathers beautiful lavender-scented beaches and fine wines, while the latter is especially famous for its intimate coves and crystal-clear sea.
